Landscaping and property maintenance in Wrington

Four and a half miles north east in the Wrington Vale, where the plots get larger.

About 5 miles from Winscombe

The ground in Wrington

Wrington sits in its own vale under the northern Mendip edge, with Redhill and Butcombe above it and the Yeo running out below. The village core is stone and the lanes around it hold larger houses with land, paddocks and orchards attached, which is a different kind of garden entirely.

On a plot like that the ask is usually management rather than construction. Hedges and boundaries kept, an overgrown orchard opened back up, a paddock topped and its fencing put right, trees taken down safely before they come down on their own.

The vale ground is heavier than the hill ground at Cheddar, so machinery access and where the spoil goes are the first two questions on any groundwork here.

Questions from Wrington

Do you cover Wrington?

Yes. Wrington is about 5 miles from Winscombe in a straight line, well inside the 20 mile radius Tom works to.

Does a quote cost anything?

No. Tom comes out, looks at the job and gives you a price, and there is no charge and no obligation for that. If the job is not worth doing the way you have described it he will tell you that too.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes, particularly close to Winscombe where there is no real travel on it. A gate rehung, a patio repointed, a fence panel put right. Further out a small job is harder to justify on its own, so it is worth grouping it with something bigger.

Is it you doing the work, or a team?

It is Tom Nyamunda. One person on the job from the first visit to the last barrow out, which is slower than a gang but it means the person who quoted it is the person who built it.
