Nailsea grew fast in the second half of the last century, so a large part of its housing stock and its gardens are now hitting the age where the original work is failing. Fences from the eighties, patios laid on sand, sleeper edging gone soft, sheds sitting on nothing. Replacement rather than first build is the pattern.
The town sits on the rise between the Levels and the Bristol fringe, so plots are mixed, some level, some with a decent fall front to back. A fall front to back is where sleeper or stone steps earn their money, because a terraced garden is usable in a way a slope never is.
