Privacy notice
This explains what Tom Nyamunda does with your information when you contact him through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Tom Nyamunda, trading as Tom's Landscaping & Property Maintenance, of 55 Woodborough Road, Winscombe, North Somerset, BS25 1AG.

As a sole trader whose only use of personal information is replying to enquiries, quoting, and keeping his own accounts and records, Tom Nyamunda has assessed himself as exempt from the ICO data protection fee. That assessment is reviewed if what this site does with information ever changes.
What is collected, and why
Only what is needed to reply to you and price the job. Nothing is collected because it might be useful one day.

What is never collected
Nothing asks for a date of birth, a payment detail, or anything about your health, beliefs or background. Your IP address is used for a moment to rate limit the form and is never written down anywhere.
You cannot create an account here. There is one private login, used by Tom Nyamunda alone to write up quotes and invoices, and it is not open to the public. It is described under Quotes and invoices below.
Where it goes
An enquiry from the form is not stored on this website. It becomes an email in Tom Nyamunda’s inbox and nothing else. If the work goes ahead and he writes you a quote or an invoice, that is a separate record and it is described below. Two companies are involved in an enquiry reaching him.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the spam check on the form and counts page views. Cloudflare, Inc. and Cloudflare Ltd.
- Resend delivers the enquiry email. Plusdot, Inc., trading as Resend.
Both operate outside the UK, so your information is transferred internationally. Those transfers rely on the safeguards in Article 46 of the UK GDPR, being the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses, as set out in each company’s own data processing terms.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else. Your details are not added to a mailing list and you will not be marketed to.
Measurement
Three things are counted, and only three: when somebody taps a phone, WhatsApp or email link, when somebody starts filling in the quote form, and when an enquiry is successfully sent.
Those counts are stored with the page they happened on, the type of device, and a town and country worked out at the network edge. They are not stored with your name, your email, your phone number, your IP address or any identifier for your device, so a count cannot be traced back to you, and two visits by the same person cannot be joined together.
This is done under the statistical purposes exception in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. You have the right to object to it. Email Tom Nyamunda at tomnyamunda@yahoo.co.uk and it will be switched off for you.
Quotes and invoices
If you go ahead and ask for a price, Tom Nyamunda writes the quote up in a private area of this site rather than on paper. That does keep a record of you, and it is the one place on this website where your details are stored rather than passed on.
What it holds: your name, and whichever of your phone number, email address and address you gave him. The address the work is at. What was quoted, what it cost, what you paid and when. Nothing else, and nothing about you beyond what is needed to write you a document and know whether it has been settled.
The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b), taking steps at your request before a contract and then performing it, and Article 6(1)(c) for the part Tom Nyamunda is required to keep for HMRC. That part he must keep, so it is not his to delete on request, and it is listed under how long it is kept below.
Only Tom Nyamunda can see it. It sits behind a login that is not open to the public and cannot be signed up for, and the pages are blocked from search engines. The database is separate from the one that counts page views, which holds nothing about anybody. It is stored in Western Europe by Cloudflare.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies on a visitor’s device, stores nothing in your browser and does not track you between visits. That is why there is no cookie banner in your way.
Two exceptions, neither of which follows you around. The private area described above sets a sign in cookie, but only for Tom Nyamunda on his own device, never for a visitor.
The other is the spam check on the quote form, which is Cloudflare Turnstile. It may place a short lived cookie on your device while it works out that you are a person. That is strictly necessary to provide the form you asked for, which is why it does not need your consent, and it is not used to track you or to advertise to you.

Photographs of finished work
Every photograph on this site is of work Tom Nyamunda carried out. Photographs are only published where the property owner has agreed to it, they are framed to avoid house numbers, vehicle registrations and anything else that identifies an address, and nobody is named. If a photograph of your property is here and you want it taken down, ask and it comes down. No reason needed.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask Tom Nyamunda to:
- tell you what he holds about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- stop using it, or restrict what he does with it
- hand it to you in a portable form
- stop relying on legitimate interests, where that is the basis being used

Complaining
If you are not happy with how your information has been handled, please say so first, it is a one person business and it will get dealt with. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time.
